2 down, 4 to go?

Screenshot of the new bunker and its logo, which is pretty dang hard to make out but looks like an arrow to me.

Whoa -- missed that. All around a pretty lighthearted episode, with this being the biggest reveal. So Bernard's a white guy, finally establishing that Shaft / Mr. Eko isn't Rose's stallion of a husband. White husband on one side of the island, black wife on the other -- sounds like more of that black rock / white rock mumbo jumbo to me.

I'd also like to point out that the actor playing Bernard is none other than Mr. Gorpley, Co'sin Larry Appleton and Balki Bartakamous' easily aggitated boss at the newspaper office in "Perfect Strangers."

Now if only Bronson Pinchot would join the cast...

And can I also just say that I really dug last night's episode? I mean I like the informational episodes where they divulge more details about the island, but I got to liking the show from enjoying the backstories, seeing people's different motivations, their histories. I loved the part last night when Hurley's friend (DJ Qualls) finds out Hurley won the lotto. Great editing.

Those of us watching thought the new bunker looked like a single room, as opposed to the more elaborate layout of the Swan station. Did you guys get this impression?

We also finally saw the front door to the Swan station. Could it really have been right in front of them all along? Think how long Locke and Boone spent trying to break the hatch. Is the introduction of the front door just kinda sloppy writing, or is it a much longer hike, or is there something more to this?

The door to the Swan hatch 1.) looks hidden pretty well, like Hatch #2, and 2.) seems pretty far from the quarantine door that they blew open. Notice the long corridor Hurley walked down after he brought Rose there. Looks like it's some kind of ramp that leads down to what I assume are the 2 locking doors that Jack went through after he deserted Locke in "Orientation."

As for the layout of Hatch #2, I def think it's bigger than it looks. The similarities to the Swan hatch are unmistakable, but I wouldn't rule out that it's smaller. It could lead to other rooms, maybe even blocked off rooms, like the magnet room in the Swan hatch.
