Blame Canada
Or, better yet, Canada's promos. In the Canadian preview for tonight's episode, Canuck's are treated to a scene involving Kate, Kate's lips and.... someone else.... in the present day.

I know there's been a lot of hype about tonight's episode because Kate's "original crime" will be revealed. Am I to assume then that the bank robbery occurs AFTER this crime? I know they've been doing a lot of jumping around with repeat backstories, can someone help me with a Kate timeline?
And if history has been any indication, I foresee Kate wearing a bad rug tonight in her backstory.

Ok nevermind, I feel like I may be answering my own question. I haven't rewatched much of the first season since it aired so my memory is a bit fuzzy but I just recalled that Kate robs the bank to get the little plane, right? The little plane that belonged to the guy we later meet in a different backstory of hers, the guy who ends up getting killed because she's running from the police.
So then tonight we will find out why the police were originally after her?
Don't worry Mere, I'm confused too.

Here's my 2 cents:
-Kate as a kid buries time capsule with childhood crush
-Kate grows up, kills father
-Kate sees the horse for the first time, runs from 5-0
-Kate comes back to see her father (this might be switched with the next timeline entry, can't remember exactly which came first last night)
-Kate gets caught for the first time
-Kate comes back to see her dying mother and childhood crush
-Kate digs up the time capsule
-Kate gets her childhood crush killed
-Kate runs... again
-Kate gets the plane back from the safety deposit box (not sure if she left it in the car when her childhood BF died or took it with her -- anybody?)
-Kate goes to Australia -- get a freagin' job, hippie
-Kate runs, yet again
-Kate gets caught for the second time
-A steel case and some schrapnel hit the Marshal, Kate hits the island
-Kate is forced to kiss Sawyer
-Kate forces herself to kiss Jack
-Kate sees the horse w/ Sawyer
Correction: Kate doesn't see the horse for the first time until she gets caught for the first time, after coming back to see her father, I believe.
Revised:
