November Confirmation

Not much new, but at least this means we'll get a new episode every week in November!

LOST -- ABANDONED -- WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 9 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) -- Sawyer's wound becomes life-threatening as he, Michael and Jin make their way through the interior of the island with the tail section survivors. Meanwhile, Shannon is once again haunted by visions of Walt, and Charlie becomes jealous of Locke's interest in Claire. Guest starring are Malcolm David Kelley as Walt, Sam Anderson as Bernard, Ian Somerhalder as Boone.

LOST -- THE OTHER 48 DAYS -- WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 16 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) -- The harrowing first 48 days in the lives of the tail section survivors are revealed.

LOST -- COLLISION -- WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 23 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) -- Violence erupts when Ana Lucia and her group stumble upon the other castaways.

LOST -- WHAT KATE DID -- WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 30 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) – As Kate's backstory continues, her original crime is revealed. Locke and Eko make an interesting discovery about the film, and Michael has a mysterious encounter with the computer.

HUGE!

Some more interesting stuff:

I did the research and I haven't seen anything (or very little about this) and I've found a few things to tie together.

We know that Dr. Marvin Candle doesn't move his left arm. I thought this was odd, but didn't think much of it until a producer was quoted as saying how odd it was that he didn't move his arm.

A friend of mine, who is rewatching the first season after seeing the last five episodes, pointed out that there was someone else who had a prosthetic arm: the farmer that turns in Kate, and inadvertantly (or not) gets her put onto the plane that eventually crashes onto the island.

I found in a thread here that Rosseau also talks about one of her team losing an arm. I don't know if it's stated that the left arm was the one lost (no pun intended) or not, but I have a sneaking suspicion it'll come up again.

So what's the significance of the left arm? The same friend that pointed out the farmer's arm to me also mentioned that it reminded him of Twin Peaks. For those who haven't seen Twin Peaks, or don't remember, whenever danger emerges, some people lose sensation in their left arm. Not to mention the fact that 'the yin to bob's yang, mike, doesn't have a left arm' (thanks, Kurt for the clarification).

Now, we know for a fact that J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof are fans of Twin Peaks, so I think this means something. It's not a coincidence that Marvin Candle and the farmer both have disabled arms.

Before I get into sort of theory, I'm going to publicly state that any theory now would be premature. If 'Lost' runs five seasons at 22 episodes a season, that's over 62 hours of material left to unravel. We haven't even come close to a midway point, and that's only if the show ends with season five.

More on the Left Arm: Dr. Marvin Candle, disabled-left-armie extraordinaire states that you and your partner will be in the hatch for 540 days. As it's been stated before, 540 is 108 (the sum of the cursed numbers) multiplied by five. Seemingly insignificant... until you think about where the number five has appeared. So far, the only place I can think of, is a tattoo.

On Jack.

On his left arm.

Significance? Yes.

For what? I don't know.

But I am curious to see what everyone thinks.

"Michael has a mysterious encouter with the computer."

I hope it's X-rated. Might as well get some use out of that 9pm timeslot.
