We're...not exactly in Portland

LOST is back. Juliette is mysterious. Kate and Sawyer are on their way back.

And hopefully, for 16 straight weeks, we'll get LOSTMANIA kicking again...

Post your thoughts on "Not in Portland" here...

A solid "welcome back" episode, if I do say.

Not much new stuff to chew on, other than some confirmation that whatever Hanso/the Others are up to -- (in)fertility plays a large roll.

Otherwise, this was a pretty exciting episode with Others getting killed, confirmation of brainwashing... and that dude from "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia."

Not that this has any insight, but I got home last night around 10:42 and turned the tv on and the first thing I see is Juliette's ex getting whammed by the bus. Nice time, ing.

I actually really liked this episode, and if the previews are any indication, they're paying attention to complaints that the show had gotten too static, what with Assault on Precinct Others next week.

I loved this episode!

As you guys mentioned, not much to chew on... but I hope the season continues like so.

Yall are crazy.

1. Rousseau's daughter Alex is also the son of Ben (right?). Did Ben impregnate Rousseau when she got there, or was Ben Rouseeau's husband and a member of her crew?

2. Dharma recruitment has infiltrated the world of the flashbacks.

Plus, Jack's "goodbye" to Kate (great scene) gives a smidge of credence to my theory that Jack is leaving the show this season.

But read this week's feature in Entertainment Weekly and on ew.com to get even more psyched for the upcoming episodes. One tidbit: apparently there is some hidden easter egg in last week's episode that, when all is revealed, will be a clue that connects the Big Answer to those two skeletons found in the cave. Anyone find anything?

Most of you all have been straying from the path but I've got no complaints with Lost, including this season's first six episodes. I mean, all this time all anyone ever said was "We wanna know more about The Others!!!" and then they spend six episodes developing them and everyone wants them to go back to the beach. Sheesh!

Supposedly the brainwashing-room scene has a hidden message if the audio is played backwards, but like most backmasking, it's somewhat debateable. See/hear for yourself: http://www.dharmasecrets.com/forum/index.php/topic,9716.msg95846.html#msg95846

Also, it's good to see the Ludovico Technique is still getting some play. The question: Has Karl been turned?

Also -- check out the first shot of Juliet on the beach. It opens in Miami, but the shot of her on the beach just looks like she's on a TV set -- the lighting from above, everything. Anyone else get this?

And, I love the actor who plays the recruiting agent, and I hope we see him again.
